Fix Outlook error 0x80190005

Based on forum users’ reports on this error, it occurs majorly for only 2-3 reasons. The first is when you have a problem sign-in in using your Outlook account, and second is when you are still not an adult. In the latter situation, you might have been marked as an underaged kid, and that could be restricting you. If you are under the age of 13 facing this issue, you may have to ask about this to your parent or the person managing the family group.

1] Sign in to your Microsoft account online

Go to Outlook.com and sign-in with your Microsoft account. If you are able to sign in with your existing username and password, then this is not the problem. However, if you are restricted for any reason, you need to change your Microsoft account password. Go to account.microsoft.com, and reset the password. If you have a child account, you can change your birthday only if you are older than 13. Accounts under 13 will need parental approval.

2] Change DOB for Adult Profile or Remove from Family Group

If you are not an adult, you can receive this error as well.  Open your Microsoft Account Profile settings. Click on Edit Profile and make sure the age is set correctly. If that doesn’t help, you can ask your parents to remove you from Microsoft Family, and then you should be able to sign in without 0x80190005 error.

3] Switch to Local and then back to Microsoft account

If your Microsoft account is stuck here with this error, then we suggest you switch to a local account and then connect to your Microsoft account again. The process should get rid of anything which was blocking you from accessing the local account. If you don’t have a lot of overhead to set up your profile again, try using a new account.
